Russian Kobudo Federation

Russian Kobudo Federation:

Organized on 19.07.2003 (S.R. # 1037746009014) on the basis of Moscow Federation of Kobu-jutsu, existing from 1997.

President of RKF is Alexey. N. Kuznetsov, black belt, VII DAN.

Federation is regularly organizes the competitions and championships on Kobudo (kata with eastern types of weapons, bunkai kata, duels with Nunchaku, duels with special protective equipment), as well as the seminars on Kobudo, Nunchaku, Kumite, karate techniques and dsju-jutsu.

During the year, sportsmen visit sport camps and international competitions.

Annually Federation conducts the following competitions:

- Children’s Moscow championship on Kobudo, Nunchaku Version;
- Children’s Moscow championship on Kobudo, Kobu – jutsu Nippon Kampo version;
- Moscow championships, Cups on Kobudo, full version;
- Children’s Russia championship on Kobubo, Nunchaku version;
- Children’s Russia championship on Kobubo, Nippon Kampo version;
- Championships and Cups of Russia, full Kobudo version;
- Combined team of Russia on Kobudo is presented on the international competitions.

Quantity of Federation is:

- In Moscow – 2000 persons.
- In Russian Regions – 5000 persons.

Competitions are conducted on 3 various versions:

1 Version: Kata with various types of weapons.

Demonstration of gymnastics exercises and techniques with using of various types of eastern weapons, such as Nunchaku – short connected sticks, bo – pole, tonfa – stick with handle, sai – metallic trident, kama – sickle, threefold sickle and etc.

2 Version: Duels with Nunchaku.

Widely used the sport soft Nunchaku, the head is protected with helmet with grate.
Duels with Nunchaku are one of the most sighting types of competitions.
The speed of interceptions and rotations is effective and splendid. Duels with Nunchaku are executed in accordance with the rules and techniques of International Nunchaku Federation.

3 Version: Duels on Nippon Kampo Version.

For protection is used the helmet with grate, firm waistcoat and gloves.
In the course of competitions and training one may work with close contact, protective the sportsman against injuries.

4 Version: Bunkai Kata.

Competitions explain the most skilled usage of techniques.
